Work and perseverance pays off. There is no doubt and Hubert Hurkacz is the living proof. For a couple of years now, the Pole is giving himself the chance to reach high goals. Since he broke the top 100 in March 2018, Hurkacz, has made ongoing progress, basing his game on his serve and forehand. The mental and physical aspect of the game are also monitored closely with the help of his immediate family. Fries, burgers and sweets are forbidden from his diet since forever. And for the past 4 years, the Wroclaw native is on a vegan regime. Big fan of motor racing, « Hubi » is improving step by step. In 2019 he beat his first top 10 at Indian Wells (Kei Nishikori), and captured his first title in Winston Salem. In 2021, the 1m96 man from Poland became the first player from his country to win a 1000 event, in Miami. A few weeks later, after booting Federer from Wimbledon (6-0 in the final set) he reached the semifinal. But this does not satisfy Hurkacz who wants and will do even better !
