Not everyone has the chance to have Roger Federer as an admire. Belinda Bencic does ! After having played the Hopman Cup in 2019 with him, the young Swiss had then received personal congrats from the man himself, when she won in Dubai, and again when she beat world number 1 Naomi Osaka at Indian Wells. It wasn’t until the US Open in 2019 (semi-finals) and Moscow, where she captured her 4th title that we again heard of Belinda Bencic. Revealed to the world at a very young age, when she beat Serena Williams in 2015, the talented Swiss has up’s and down’s (runner-up in Adelaide and Berlin, 1st round at Wimbledon in 2021). The player who was, long time coached by Melanie Molitor, Martina Hingis’ mother, is still waiting for a Grand Slam result. After the Olympic Gold, anything can happen.
