Serena Williams is not blonde
If Rafael Nadal left our ranking, a star of the tour took his place at the last minute thanks to a busy week of preparation for the BNP Paribas WTA Finals, on and off the courts. Discover who it is by reading the Tennis journal of We Are Tennis.

Rafael Nadal might have left our ranking, there’s no need to worry, a star of the same ilk, Serena Williams is keeping the seat warm. This week, the American showed her curves while taking cooking classes and went into the wrong hotel room after arriving in Singapore. Magical.

1/ Serena Williams (NE).

The world number one is back. Absent from our rankings last week, the favourite of the BNP Paribas WTA Finals in Singapore has never seemed so fit. Moreover, before flying to Asia, the player didn't hesitate to make some taco joke with her dog.

Speaking of joke, the executives of the WTA Tour made a good one by confusing her hotel room with that of... Ana Ivanovic. But Serena is not the resentful kind.

That same evening, for the fancy party hosted by the WTA, the American was on the loose again with her best friend Caroline Wozniacki. And the caption of the photo is explicit: "The blonde and the boob."

But rest assured, Serena ended this week in a classier way by taking a French cooking classes at her hotel.

No comment on her outfit. We’re used to it now.

2/ Ana Ivanovic (NE).

While Serena Williams had obviously inherited the Serb's room, Ana was keen to answer the American with humour by using a cardboard joke.

Besides the organization, the player doesn’t leave fans indifferent. Some of them even made her a parody of the last Taylor Swift video.

3/ Novak Djokovic (-1).

To prepare for the ATP World Tour Finals and score points, the Serb continues to travel around the world, far from his family. But thanks to TV, his relatives can keep in touch. At the Shanghai tournament, the Djoker's wife has then surprised by a "friend" of the family in ecstasy.

4/ Roger Federer (-2).

The Swiss is already working for the final of the Davis Cup by BNP Paribas. While his mates are in the greatest hotels in the world, or somewhere playing poker, Roger was already working his game on clay, the surface chosen by the France team to face Switzerland late November in Lille.

5/ Maria Sharapova (-1).

Maria attended a friendly football match between Brazil and Japan (4-0) played in Singapore, before returning to her racquet to start her training for the BNP Paribas WTA Finals. As a VIP, she even had the chance to hang around the pitch a few hours before kick-off.

She probably enjoyed the performance of Neymar, who scored four goals.

6/ Petra Kvitova (+1).

With seven other top players in Singapore for the BNP Paribas WTA Finals, the Czech added some new pictures to her photo album with a picture of the presentation night, where everyone was dressed to the nines.

Before that, she spent some time at the hairdresser and nail salon. The Czech even had the chance to feature in the local newspaper for this beauty session.

Yes, Petra is a woman who takes care of herself and enjoys reading everything that is written about her.

7/ Victoria Azarenka (+8).

The big progression of the week. It must be said that the Belarusian took advantage of her arrival in the French capital to splurge. The first was as sweet than calorific since we're talking of a candy shopping spree in a supermarket.

The second is unlikely since the blonde spent her Friday night at the Stade de France, in the middle of football fans to attend a Ligue 1 match between Lens and PSG (1-3). She even bought the match scarf for 20 euros.

Before that, the player visited the capital to take some wishy-washy pictures...

...But not forgetting to get herself an invitation backstage for Pharrell Williams' concert.

What a life.

8/ Eugénie Bouchard (+1).

Maria Sharapova has some competition. This week, the Canadian Eugenie Bouchard took a bikini selfie on the rooftop of her luxury hotel in Singapore. And by seeing her pose with such pride, we can tell that she is well aware of her valuable assets.

9/ Andy Murray (NE).

Winner of the Vienna tournament against David Ferrer (5-7, 6-2, 7-5), Andy Murray is making a comeback in our ranking. But he mostly owes it to his humorous mini-series created to raise awareness against cancer.

The Scot shares the credits with some great people...

10/ Caroline Wozniacki (+3).

When the Dane isn't having fun with Serena Williams, she’s training on the ring with some friends.

And they’re taking it pretty seriously.

11/ Grigor Dimitrov (+1).

Nicknamed "Baby Federer" since his debuts, the Bulgarian is an aesthete. Against the American Jack Sock in the quarterfinals in Stockholm, the boyfriend of Maria Sharapova pulled out two amazing points one after the other.

Too bad for him, he was defeated in straight sets (5-7, 6-4, 6-3).

12/ Marin Cilic (NE).

Since he won the US Open, the Croat is walking on water. Winner in Moscow against the Spanish Roberto Bautista Agut (6-4, 6-4), he also took some time to visit the Russian capital.

Classic.

13/ Benoît Paire (NE).

The French multiplies aquatic sessions to get back into shape after his injury. And he shared it with his fans by posting this picture with other injured athletes on the road to recovery.

14 /Angélique Kerber (NE).

Let's be honest, the WTA has a gift for digging up exceptional hotels for its players during the BNP Paribas WTA Finals. Here, we see that the German Angelique Kerber has what is known as a "room with a view”...

15/ Shamil Tarpischev (NE).

But who are you Shamil Tarpischev? Quite simply the head of the Russian Tennis Federation. In a late show on television, the former captain of the Davis Cup by BNP Paribas Russian team was tricked by the host when talking about a game "where Sharapova was playing against one of the..." sadistically leaving Tarpischev complete the sentence with "Williams brothers" to describe about Serena. Oh hello misogyny.
