At 206cm and 111kg John Isner is one of the biggest players in men’s tennis. It’s next to impossible to miss him in a crowd as he towers over pretty much everyone.
Finding a spot to talk to him wasn’t necessarily easy and I made him sit down for our chat as I didn’t want to be looked down upon, or end up with neck pain by straining to keep looking up - as Ivo Karlovic, another huge guy, put it “neck pain is a pain in the neck”.
I spoke to John about his impressive height and no I didn’t ask him if he knows it’s raining before the rest of us.
