The USTA hosted a great draw ceremony for the Davis Cup by BNP Paribas quarterfinal tie betwen the USA and Spain at the Austin City Limits concert hall. The country rock band "Asleep At The Wheel" was the headline act and they had everyone rocking and jiving.
The draw ceremony was available to the public and tickets were sold at $5 each. There were 1,000 fans there and the proceeds totalling $5,000 were donated to the Joplin City Tornado Appeal.
This was one of the best draw ceremonies staged at a Davis Cup tie.
