Helping the next generation of top-level tennis players to reach their goals and dreams has been a core commitment for BNP Paribas since 2018. That year, the " BNP Paribas Jeunes Talents team " programme was launched in France. Since then, the it has been implemented internationally, in the United States and in Italy.

The BNP Paribas Young Talents Teams provide human and financial support to talented young athletes who are most in need in order to help them on their way to their professional careers.

Sharing this common cause, each country programme has its specificities:

The French "Team BNP Paribas Jeunes Talents

The French “BNP Paribas Jeunes Talents Team” was created in association with the French Tennis Federation (FFT). Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, the world-class French tennis player (formerly n°5) acts as mentor to this team. Since its launch in 2018, its objective is twofold: to help young French tennis talent progress in their sport, and to support them and their families so they can achieve their dreams. The BNP Paribas Young Talent Team is made up of around thirty aspiring young French tennis professionals.

The programme aims to help build the next generation of French tennis players and provides these young players with human support such as English classes, media training workshops, personal image management, nutrition, doping and sports betting awareness training, information on how tournaments work, the role of an agent, etc. These workshops and seminars help prepare the young players for the many challenges of international competition.

The American "Team BNP Paribas Mac 1”

BNP Paribas and the John McEnroe Tennis Academy joined forces to provide young American tennis players of merit with equal opportunities and the best chances to reach the highest levels of competition.

Started in September 2019, the "Team BNP Paribas Mac 1" programme provides 10 promising American boys and girls between the ages of 11 and 17 with year-round tennis training and coaching  . The programme takes place at the John McEnroe Tennis Academy at Sportime Randall Island in New York City and is under the direct supervision of Patrick and John McEnroe.

As with the French team, these young Americans are accompanied with two types of support: financial assistance for intensive training and access to local, national and international competition, and personal assistance in preparing for the demands of collegiate and professional tennis, including image management, and the support to succeed in school such as in literacy, with life-skills and more.

The Italian "Team BNL BNP Paribas Young Talents”

In Italy, a "BNL BNP Paribas Young Talent Team", was launched in 2019. This BNP Paribas Group initiative is dedicated to 21 talented young tennis players aged between 12 and 18.  It aims to support these young talents with scholarships, mentors and experts in sports and communication in order to enhance their potential, both as athletes and as adults of tomorrow.

These aspiring young tennis players from all over Italy receive financial support adapted to their needs. Through the Young Talent programme, each selected athlete can complete the personal development project that they have presented to a dedicated commission for approval.
